More than ever before a college degree is an essential gateway to compete in our global economy. For students attending under-resourced schools in Washington, DC, however, the path to college is often riddled with challenges. IAPW has partnered with Capital Partners for Education (CPE ), a non-profit that provides middle school, high school and college students the support they need to succeed. CPE ’s winning combination of one-on-one mentoring, individualized academic support, college and career readiness programming, and educational financial assistance helps break the multi-generational cycle of poverty one family at a time.
IAPW’s contribution will help provide the opportunity for over 100 additional students to receive support for academic year 2015 – 2016.
