Nicholas has been part of In a Perfect World’s Dreamcatchers program for many years. From cleaning up the beach for Earth Day to packing care packages for children seeking asylum, Nicholas finds ways to infuse empathy and service into his daily life.
When we asked Nicholas how he would like to change the world, he didn’t hesitate in saying that he wants to protect and support animals. So it was no surprise when Nicholas created his own service project to help shelter animals.
Nicholas and his family contacted a local animal shelter to ask them how he could support their work. Once he found out that they were in short supply of dog beds for new rescues, he got to work, gathering fabric with fun patterns for his project.
Once home, he prepped all of the fabrics and turned them into a big batch of “no-sew” dog beds and blankets.
Nicholas donated his dog beds to the shelter and they were very appreciative! Nicholas said it felt good knowing that he was able to help the dogs.
